Rosalie Ida Straus

Rosalie Ida Straus (6 February 1849 – 15 April 1912) was an American homemaker and philanthropist, and the wife of Isidor Straus, co-owner of the department store Macy’s. She was a first-class passenger aboard the ocean liner RMS Titanic on its maiden voyage. Straus died in the sinking after refusing to leave her husband, becoming one of the most r
