Inspired by true stories, the television miniseries portrays the Brazilian place known for housing people convicted of high-profile crimes, and explores the lives of several criminals in prison. Among them are Suzane von Richthofen, Daniel Cravinhos and Christian Cravinhos, convicted of the murder of von Richthofen's parents, and Anna Jatobá and Alexandre Nardoni, convicted of the murder of Isabella Nardoni.
