> Um Clássico do romance
A trama se desenrola a partir da vida da personagem Scarllet O'Hara, uma jovem extremamente invejosa e autocentrada. Durante a narrativa, pode-se perceber uma grande força presente em Scarllet, pois ela não mede esforços para conseguir o que precisa, mas, infelizmente, a soberba faz com que essa força seja levada para um mal caminho.
Outros personagens que são de interessante destaque são: 
- Melanie Hamilton, uma mulher com inúmeras virtudes, que sempre se coloca em último lugar e está sempre disposta a ajudar o outro.
- Ashley Wilkes, esposo de Melanie, se mostra um homem fraco e mau-caráter.
- Rhett Butler, um personagem, inicialmente muito egoísta, mas honesto quanto a sua falta de virtude, e que, diferentemente de Scarllet, soube aproveitar as situações que a vida lhe forneceu para que se tornasse maduro. 
Grandes pontos positivos:
- O filme não nos faz torcer para que os planos egoístas da personagem principal deem certo.
- A trama toda se desenvolve em meio a um maravilhoso repertório musical.
- Os figurinos são belíssimos.

> A Classic Romance
The plot unfolds from the life of the character Scarlett O'Hara, an extremely envious and self-centered young woman. During the narrative, one can see a great strength present in Scarlett, as she spares no effort to get what she needs, but, unfortunately, pride causes this strength to be taken to a bad path.
Other interesting characters are:
- Melanie Hamilton, a woman with countless virtues, who always puts herself last and is always willing to help others.
- Ashley Wilkes, Melanie's husband, shows himself to be a weak and bad character.
- Rhett Butler, a character, initially very selfish, but honest about his lack of virtue, and who, unlike Scarlett, knew how to take advantage of the situations that life provided him to become mature.
Big positives:
- The film does not make us hope that the main character's selfish plans work out.
- The whole plot develops in the midst of a wonderful musical repertoire.
- The costumes are beautiful.
