Synopsis
Nick Naylor is a charismatic spin-doctor for Big Tobacco who'll fight to protect America's right to smoke -- even if it kills him -- while still remaining a role model for his 12-year old son. When he incurs the wrath of a senator bent on snuffing out cigarettes, Nick's powers of "filtering the truth" will be put to the test.

Thank You for Smoking is a very cynical, original, clever, funny and sometimes even sweet satire! Cast is unbelievable: Aaron Eckhart, J.K. Simmons, Maria Bello, Katie Holmes, Robert Duvall, William Macy and many more! I liked that the movie raises serious moral questions and makes references to pop culture. Aaron is truly brilliant as a lobbyist! The movie does NOT condemn smoking, but rather makes fun of both tobacco lobbyists and anti-smokers! So, some jokes might seem too harsh and overly cynical. Note that Thank You for Smoking is mostly dialogue-based, so action lovers might find it quite boring. The movie features classy smoking related 50-60s songs 😁 I liked the opening song "Smoke! Smoke! Smoke! (That Cigarette)", as well as "Smoke Rings", but there are plenty of other cool songs. PS No one actually smokes in Thank You for Smoking :)
