My favorite version of TMNT! For those who watched the series from the beginning, you can clearly see how much it has improved: the action scenes, the animation, the characters, everything! Rise got a lot of hate at first for being different from previous versions, but in my opinion, that's what makes it more unique. Unfortunately, one of the things that any version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shows is that what's different isn't accepted, as incredible as it is: Awakening of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is proof of that. ‌There are not enough words to express how much I love seeing Splinter acting more like a father of 4 teenagers than a strict teacher, April being much more helpful, Michelangelo being more respected by his brothers, Donnie being much more confident, Rapha being more loving and with the most controlled anger and, above all, Leo allowing himself to act like a teenager but still have aspects of the born leader that he has inside him! I'm praying that Nickelodeon or maybe even Netflix itself decides to go back and bring this show back for more seasons, because it would be the biggest waste of potential I've ever seen in my life to allow this masterpiece to only have 2 seasons.
